Robin Hood
Productions @ Hale School
This production was developed as a large scale dinner theatre piece, in a dining hall setting, creating the action of the story entirely around the audience.
The dinner was built into the concept of the production, with the audience as a guests to the Sheriff of Nottingham's banquet. During the banquet, the Nottingham players tell the Sheriff's version of the story of Robin Hood, whilst we cut back to the true story of Robin's demise as an outlaw.
I collaborated with Danny Parker to write scenes and sequences, both for the players, a humourous Pantomimic feast and for the true version of Robin's story, a dark and richyl developed exploration of the difficulties Robin faced.
- Co-wrote "Robin Hood" for a major dinner theatre production in 2007.
- Provided general office, rehearsal and performance assistance in the form of coffee runs, note taking, typing, photocopying, warming up actors and managing the cast pre-show.
